The long awaited 1.0 from industry leaders Edge
Composites is finally available. The super
light 1.0 tips the scales at 303g with an uncut
steerer, but more importantly sacrifices no
stiffness. The 1.0 is one of the finest road
forks on the market. One would think a rider
would have to be a bantam weight climber to ride
such a light weight fork but the 1.0 has no
rider weight limit. The 1.0 is a worthy upgrade

Fork
Using a proprietary net
molding process, Edge Composites has created a fork
that is 100% molded carbon fiber from steertube to
dropouts. There is no co-molding, bonding, drilling,
or cutting involved in the construction of this Road

Edge Carbon Seatpost
Detail
The Edge carbon seat post
continues to build upon the innovative
technology that Edge puts forth in all of their
products. It is made of carbon fiber prepreg
tape wrapped around a mandrel, resulting in a
construction that offers a higher strength to
weight ratio than is available in pultruded
tubes. Because of this high-strength
construction, the Edge carbon seat post is at
home both on the road or on the trail, all
wrapped in a very attractive package. The
single-bolt design utilized in this post allows
for incredibly simple one-handed saddle
adjustment, while providing a very clean look.

Description
This stem from Edge
Composites is a high quality, elegant and
durable component from America's premiere carbon
company. The Edge stem utilizes a unidirectional
weave, Ti hardware, cold forged alloy face
plate, and molded-in face plate threads.
While there are lighter stems on the market you
would be hard pressed to find one that combines
strength, beauty and function as well as the
Edge does.
Color options include matte carbon with a block
white Edge logo and white faceplate. Second
color option is matte carbon with pinline logo
and black faceplate.

Composites first entry into the road handle bar
market does not disappoint. Focusing on strength
and comfort rather than light weight, this
amazing carbon bar still tips the scales at
190g. The bar is double grooved on the underside
for cables and features a semi-flat hand section
on top as well as a slight ergo bend. There is a
textured section to aid in brake set up and at
the center of the bar to prevent stem slippage.
This bar also features an innovative rubber cap
at the bar end which eliminates the need for bar
plugs.

Edge describes their
"Mountain Riser" as "our all-everything bar". And
they do so for two reasons: it's reasonably light,
within a few grams of the lightest Easton and
Bontrager cross country bars, and quite strong. We
measured the wall thickness of several of our
high-end carbon bars, and the Edge lead the group,
with .2 to .3mm thicker walls. It's a visually
perceivable difference, as well as a difference that
should give larger, aggressive riders confidence in
the strength of the bar. The bar measures
27.5-inches wide and are marked for cutting if you'd
like to take them down in width.

At only ~45g heavier, it is still an incredibly
light 250g and suitable for cylocross
applications or for heavier riders seeking a
