KCNC C7 Road Brake Set

 

Detail

 The C7 road brake caliper set from KCNC is a stiffer, more powerful version of their popular, lightweight, and price competitive CB1 brake set. Added design features and changes from the CB1 model have substantially increased performance, yet resulted in a negligible weight increase.

The C7 uses a unique symmetric dual pivot design with incorporated roller bearing guide pins. This guide pin design represents the most substantial improvement over the CB1, which utilizes a single pin with no bearing. Additionally, the left pivot arm has increased in size and stiffness, and the release lever now has a larger platform for easier use.

 Installation
To properly install the C7 brake set, cable and housing cutters, as well as 3 mm and 4 mm hex wrenches, are required. KCNC provides five different length mounting nuts for maximum frame and fork compatibility. Detailed installation instructions are provided with purchase. We recommend that these brakes be installed by an experienced mechanic

KCNC K2 XC1 Double or Triple Crankset

Detail
 The K2-Type crankset from KCNC is the next evolution of their lightweight K-Type design. This outboard bearing three piece crankset features a lightweight hollow scandium spindle paired with KCNC's patented dual-channel hollow 7075 aluminum crank arms. The striking, disc style Blade chainrings are mounted with KCNC's popular aluminum chainring bolts. All are manufactured from the same light and strong 7075 aluminum material. This design is not only lightweight, but strong and stiff as well.

The K2 features a double chainring setup designed for 9 and 10 speed mountain drivetrains. The outer 42 tooth chainring is equipped with ramps and steel pins for smoother shifting. The bottom bracket is compatible with English threaded 68 and 73 mm wide shells.

Detailed installation instructions are included. Required tools include a Shimano style outboard bearing tool, and 2.5 mm and 8 mm hex wrenches.

KCNC BB30 Adapter

Detail
 These bottom brackets from KCNC are designed to adapt BB30 bottom brackets for use with common 24 mm spindle, 68 mm shell-compatible cranksets such as Shimano's Hollowtech II series and FSA's Gossamer crankset. Two extra plastic bearing caps are included with each adapter.

 Installation
To properly tighten these threaded bearing cups, two Hollowtech II compatible tools will be required. KCNC recommends tightening the cups to 35 ft-lbs of torque. This design uses a compressible o-ring on the non-drive side cup to compensate for bottom bracket width discrepancies.

New from KCNC is the drilled out headset spacer. Through boring out channels along the height of the spacer, KCNC has managed to drop half the weight of a traditional aluminum spacer. These might be the most inexpensive way to shed weight from your bike.
